Although I needed to talk to God, I had no clue where He was to be found.I began my search in all the wrong places: self-help books, meditation, positive thinking, and lastly, the dangerous realm of parapsychology, which only made matters worse.Finally, in my late twenties, Jesus reached down and pulled me out of my spiritual ashes, setting me on the Solid Rock of His life-giving Word.I was aggravated that my denomination had withheld and distorted God’s pure Bible truth. So, I resolved never again to accept what any man says without comparing it with the Word of God in context. I also began my daily study of the scriptures.That was 51 years ago. I have since experienced the blessed life Jesus promised to those who know and live according to His Word (Luke 11:28). And, as a Bible-teaching Pastor and biblical counselor, I have witnessed God’s marvelous work in the lives of all who truly gave their lives to Jesus in accordance to the Word of God (Luke 6:47-48).Ignorance of the Word of God results in miseries—knowing and following God’s Word results in great blessings and a joyful life, which brings us to the purpose of this book.
